Wanderlust TV Spot!

A brand-new TV spot has come out for Wanderlust! What can I say, it’s not every day you’re asked to “suck on it” by the same guy who has you “lick/flick the tip” when milking a goat! The movie now comes out in less than a month, and with that, promo’s about to start! MSN reports that Jen will appear on Ellen sometime in the month of February, with exact date to be announced.

After Lately sneak peek!

Jen’s appearing on After Lately this Sunday, and here’s a sneak peek! She appears along with Jay Leno and Jane Fonda. And for the record, it’s Brad Wollack who needs to keep his mouth shut – this time, at least.

Jen and Justin out and about!

012212-2

It’s been a while! After flying under the radar for the past few months, Jen and Justin were snapped together yesterday in Hollywood. They’ve been laying low lately – but they can’t for much longer! The Director’s Guild Awards, where Jen is nominated along with her Five co-directors, will take place on Saturday, and then Jen’s appearance on After Lately will follow on Sunday. Then, as February begins, Jen (and presumably Justin, to a lesser extent) will have Wanderlust promo duties. Can’t wait!

She and Justin cohosted the event with friend and fellow CAA client Orlando Bloom; also pictured are actor Jason Baldwin and director Joe Berlinger. It’s so good to see her, and she looks terrific as always!

A Horrible Bosses sequel?

hb-still

Liked Jen’s raunchy turn in Horrible Bosses? Then you’re in for a treat. The Hollywood Reporter reports that a sequel is in the works.

‘Horrible Bosses 2′ in the Works With Original Creative Team (Exclusive)

Screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have closed a deal to pen a sequel. Stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are expected to return.

Get ready for Horrible Bosses 2.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the screenwriters behind New Line’s surprise workplace comedy hit Horrible Bosses, have closed a deal to pen a sequel.

It is expected that Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis would return to star in the movie, and the studio is in early talks with helmer Seth Gordon to return to the director’s chair.

PHOTOS: ‘Horrible Bosses’ Premiere Red Carpet

Bosses, released July 8, 2011, saw Bateman, Day and Sudeikis as harried workers who, in Strangers on a Train meets Nine to Five fashion, try to off each others’ bosses. Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey starred as the employers while Jamie Foxx cameoed as a would-be murder advisor.

The movie, made for about $35 million, proved to be a surprise hit, grossing $117 domestically and $209 million worldwide.

Daley is an actor-turned-writer who appeared in shows such as Freaks & Geeks, Kitchen Confidential and Bones. Goldstein worked on such TV comedies as The New Adventures of Old Christine and $#*! My Dad Says as a writer-supervising producer.

Bosses was their first teaming and has proved fruitful; the duo also worked on Burt Wonderstone, New Line’s upcoming comedy starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, which will shoot early this year, and a sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for Sony Animation.

Daley and Goldstein are repped by UTA.

So does this mean we’ll be seeing Jen in her brown wig again? Maybe. As the script has not yet been written, it remains to be seen whether the bosses from the original will return, but I think that of the original bosses, Dr. Julia is the most likely to make at least a cameo, as she did not end up dead (like Bobby Pellitt) or incarcerated (like Dave Harken). Plus, Dale is the most likely to remain at his old job, since his sex-offender status effectively bars him from finding a new one. And I think that even though she ended up blackmailed, Dr. Julia might still have a few tricks up her sleeve. Time will tell, though!

2011 Year In Review

010511-1
Things were pretty different 12 months ago. Jen was single. She had no tattoos. She couldn’t yet claim not one, but two of the biggest hit movies of 2011. This year was full of changes for Jen, whether she chose them or they chose her, but one thing is certain – she has ended 2011 on a note that bodes well for a terrific 2012! Let’s review:

January

- Jen hit the ground running at the start of the year, beginning promotion for Just Go With It by presenting a People’s Choice Award to her costar and longtime friend Adam Sandler.

- Jen caused a stir with her Bardot-esque photoshoot in Allure – she also remarked on The Rachel, and foreshadowed the next step in her tress-formation.

- Jen started doing the rounds for Just Go With It, with a dizzying array of interviews.

022211-13
February
- Jen continued U.S. press for Just Go With It, which included a premiere in New York.

- Jen’s perfume saw its U.S. launch – it debuted in February on Sephora.com, before expanding to Sephora stores and other retailers.

- Just Go With It opened at #1! Beating stiff competition for the top spot, Jen’s flick exceeded expectations, and it continues to do so – it was recently reported that Just Go With It was the #1 Redbox rental this year (Los Angeles Times). As birthday presents go, Jen had a nice one in the form of a hit movie!

- Jen ended the month with overseas press for JGWI, with photocalls and premieres in Berlin and Madrid. In Madrid, she debuted a short haircut that continued to garner press through the end of the year (see also: this week) – even after she started to grow it out!

031011-6
March

- Jen laid low for most of March (for good reason, after that busy start to the year!), surfacing only for the launch of her perfume in Mexico!

- Jen’s funny, sexy Smartwater video went viral!

April

- In April, Jen got behind the cameras to direct one of the short films in Five – she also produced.

- One for the “little did I know” files – remember when I referred to Justin Theroux as Jen’s “Wanderlust costar”? Well, I guess that is still true, among other things . . .

May

- Jen launched her perfume at Sephora in New York, where she warmly greeted many appreciative fans.

- May also brought some sad news – Jen’s canine companion Norman passed away at the age of 15.

- Jen once again landed on the Forbes Celebrity 100, this time at #21!

June

- After weeks of rumors, Jen stepped out at the MTV Movie Awards afterparty with Justin Theroux – and the rest is history!

- Jen accepted the Decade of Hotness award at the Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards – and of course, looked hot as ever!

- Jen appeared on the cover of Marie Claire in a sexy, playful photoshoot with her Horrible Bosses costars.

- Jen showed off a new tattoo on her right foot – it reads “Norman,” in honor of her recently deceased pet.

- She began promotion for Horrible Bosses – this round of press included a stop at Inside the Actors’ Studio, and a Los Angeles premiere.

July

- Jen’s Horrible Bosses press continued, with a hilarious appearance on her friend Chelsea Handler’s show.

- Jen made an impression on Hollywood, participating in a hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. For this special moment, Jen was surrounded by close friends, including Chelsea Handler and Jason Bateman, who said a few words. A now-clean-shaven Justin was also in attendance.

- Horrible Bosses opened at #2 at the box office, second only to Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

- Jen and her costars went on to promote HB in London. Jen looked both naughty and nice, first in a sexy Celine leather dress, then in a sweet Valentino frock.

August

- August was a quiet month for Jen – she and Justin enjoyed a vacation in Hawaii, where she and Justin celebrated his 40th birthday.

- Jen and Adam won Choice Chemistry at the Teen Choice Awards.

- Ahead of the release of Five, Jen shared the cover of Glamour with fellow directors Demi Moore and Alicia Keys.

- During this month, Jen and Justin were frequently snapped out and about in New York, having settled into the Village.

- September marked another personal setback – it was reported that Jen’s mom suffered a stroke, although it has also been reported that she is recovering well.

- Jen began to promote Five, with an appearance on GMA and a New York premiere. As always, Jen kept it classy, even when not everyone could manage to do so (see also: her ex-husband).

October

- Jen continued to promote Five with appearances in Virginia and Washington D.C., where she participated in a roundtable with breast cancer survivors and Second Lady Jill Biden. The project premiered on Lifetime on October 10th.

- Jen appeared on the cover of Elle as part of their Women In Hollywood issue. She was later honored at their Women in Hollywood Awards, where her award was presented by her TV sister Reese Witherspoon.

- Jen and Justin showed up in support of Robert Downey Jr. at the presentation of his American Cinematheque Award.

November
110711-2
- Jen made a surprise appearance at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards to present her pal Chelsea with the Queen of the Night award.

- As she has for the past several years, Jen appeared in St. Jude’s Thanks and Giving campaign. This year, her costar was Hayli, an adorable toddler who was treated at St. Jude for AML leukemia. Jen also contributed a recipe to Loukoumi’s Celebrity Cookbook – a quinoa salad that I have made for several holiday gatherings, to rave reviews!

December

- December has been a quiet month on the Jen front, with most news items coming from recycled quotes. Hey, at least they’re being eco-friendly. We can look forward to some real news soon, though – Wanderlust is coming out on February 24th! Have a happy, healthy 2012!

Thanks and Giving 2011

StJude2011

Jen’s new Thanks and Giving PSA is out! Check it out on st.jude.org. She costars with adorable little Hayli and her mom. However, Jen is helping St. Jude not just by spreading the word about Thanks and Giving, but by contributing a recipe to Loukoumi’s Celebrity Cookbook, whose proceeds benefit St. Jude.

Author Nick Katsoris recently spoke to the Greek Reporter about the special affinity he has for fellow Greek-Americans like Jen and her father John (who also contributed to the book):

“As long as the Greek-American community keeps reading these books, I’ll continue to write them. The support from the Greek community has been overwhelming. These books are for all kids, Greeks and non-Greeks alike, but it is the Greek community that inspired me with the first book on Loukoumi going to Greece on summer vacation. Loukoumi will always be first and foremost for the Greek-American community. Their support for these books is very touching and heart-warming!

And here’s Jen’s recipe, a delicious-sounding quinoa salad, from USA Today:

Jennifer Aniston’s Favorite Quinoa Salad

“This is a really simple salad, but so delicious, and all these beautiful, healthy ingredients, make it one of my favorites.”

Ingredients:

• ½ cup quinoa
• 1 cup water
• Pinch of salt
• 1 bunch flat leaf parsley washed and chopped (thick stems removed)
• 4 Persian cucumbers peeled in strips, seeded and diced
• 2 medium tomatoes diced
• 1 ripe, but slightly firm avocado diced
• 2 -3 Tbs. extra virgin olive oil
• Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan bring water and salt to a boil.

2. Stir in quinoa, cover and lower the heat to simmer. Cook for 15 minutes.

3. Put quinoa into a medium size mixing bowl and cool.

4. Add parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado & oil to quinoa.

5. Mix and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Presenting at Oscars?

022209

It’s been rumored lately that Jen’s presenting at the Oscars in February, and of course the tabloids have taken the expected tack that she will have a “dramatic” run-in with her ex-husband, but one part of the story does seem to be true – according to RumorFix, Jen’s rep has confirmed that she will be presenting! February’s going to be a busy month for our girl, with Wanderlust coming out the very same week as the ceremony, so we have plenty of Jen to look forward to in upcoming months!

Edit: I stand corrected – the story has changed. At this time, Jen is not confirmed to present. Sorry if I got your hopes up!
